Welcome to Spotlight Youth Theatre

Spotlight Youth Theatre was founded in November 2005 by professional West End performers Mike Scott and Rachel Barrell. Their aim was to provide a weekly class which incorporated all aspects of performing arts, developing singing, dancing and acting skills, and most importantly give students an opportunity to perform their work in a theatre.

Both Mike and Rachel have been involved in theatre from a young age, performing in numerous professional productions including leading roles in West End musicals. They choreograph and direct all of Spotlight’s shows and rehearse students each week during term time.

Saturday mornings, from 9.00am to 11.30am. 

Shows are fully staged at The SandPit Theatre, St. Albans, a purpose built venue which can seat up to 260 and which offers full lighting and sound equipment. Spotlight Youth Theatre currently has students from 10 to 18 years old and offers a fun and
expressive environment for children of all abilities.
